Absolutely loved this place and it was made better by the fun and impeccable care provided by Server Erin! We went on a Friday around 2 after hiking the Falls and associated trails - drinks yummy, bbq bacon wrapped shrimp amazing and Bison Burger tasty and cooked perfectly. On a Friday afternoon in mid-May it wasn’t crowded and the view and stream added to the amazing ambiance with really good price/value - and ask for Server Erin!!! If you are planning on visiting Seven Falls this is a strong recommendation

Please be sure to arrive with plenty of time. You can take up to 60 min from the parking lot to the restaurant. But the wait is totally worth it. Service and food were excellent! Atmosphere is really nice and you have amazing views. We tried the bison burger, wild boar green chili, and red trout, and even left some room for dessert. Tried the cookies and creed malt, which was delicious, and the peach cream puff. I’d liked to have more peach cream than whipped cream, but overall it was pretty good.

A Hidden Gem in the Mountains - A Must-Try Experience Restaurant 1858 is a true hidden gem nestled in the heart of the mountains. I was utterly amazed to find a premier dining experience in such a beautiful and serene location. Our large party was expertly accommodated by the knowledgeable and friendly staff, who went above and beyond to make our evening special. They provided fantastic recommendations and even treated us to some delightful samples. The meal started with a bang—the appetizers alone were a treat, especially the cornbread, which was simply outstanding. The salad was bursting with flavor, so much so that dressing was entirely optional. But the highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the 1858 Wood Fired Mixed Grill. The lamb chop was infused with a rich, smoky flavor that left everyone at the table raving. And the summer beans? Absolutely the best I’ve ever had—perfectly seasoned with a touch of smokiness that took them to another level. Dining at Restaurant 1858 felt like a culinary journey, comparable to dining in renowned food cities like New Orleans, Houston, and more. Every single person in our group was pleased, and we all found ourselves sampling each other's meals with no complaints whatsoever. If you find yourself in the mountains, make it a point to stop by this restaurant—you won’t be disappointed!

We ate early on a Sunday in the winter and the staff was almost overly friendly just like most people at The Broadmoor property, but it’s not a complaint, it’s refreshing in this day and age. It will cost 14 to enter the park via a shuttle (no cars allowed). Then it’s a little less than a one mile walk to the base of the falls and the restaurant. Food was terrific. Bison burger was great and although my wife’s nachos arrived cold, they made some new ones and they were great too. They use pork green chili stew on the nachos which was unique.

Great service! Great location! This is a Broadmoor restaurant, so it's definitely on the pricier side. But a fun splurge. We were pleased with all the appetizers and the meals and the dessert!
